The sLiterary Events Center (SEC) was designed to take over the original and extended functions of the Old sLiterary Building. When SLCN offered to sponsor the weekly author inworld series started by Tricom Podcast, but originally held at the Old sLiterary Building, it became clear that a full-feature stage was needed and, that the center of events would be the stage.

Unlike the Old sLiterary Building, the sLiterary Events Center (SEC) was designed to be primarily a 1-floor endeavor with private towertop offices away from the chat milieu of the main floor. The grand entryway leads directly to the seating and stage, which is equipped with an auto-rezzing set. Self-lighting mini-stairs lead to either side of the stage, and into the wings. Characteristic of the wings are spans of glass walls perfect for poster space. The near wings house the various cubicles and teleport points to the towers. The far wings connect back to the main island and to the island-circling submarine boarding spots.
