Avatar creation on Second Life is achieved via a skin and shape. A different skin on the same shape often produces avatars that look distinctly different, as in this example. A minor variation of the eybrow can produce an avatar that looks like a sibling of the original. Alternatively, certain cartoon-style avatars do not require skinning, but require prim or object attachments.
